Valentine Half Face

This is a drawing that I did as a valentines day present for my girlfriend Alice, who clearly shares my like of anything creepy or macabre.

It was drawn almost entirely with a black biro/ballpoint pen with very light subtle pencil work and white paint for the hair. The highlights on the hair were not meant to turn out blue-ish but I think it adds an interesting edge to it. A sort of happy accident.

Interesting Fact: I drew this on paper that is as old as me, if not older, as my dad (an artist) gave it to me after he kept it for about 20 years.

Medium: Black ballpoint pen, light pencil and white acrylic paint for the hair on A3 watercolour paper.

Time: Several days, on and off.
